SPRING SHRED CAMP

Snowboard Yukon is offering a great end of the season snowboard opportunity for female riders looking to improve their skills for the 2012 snowboard season. This two day camp provides skilled training from a certified female snowboard coach on riding development and basic freestyle tips and tricks. This camp is perfect for those looking to improve their riding abilities while have fun riding with other females in a comfortable and safe environment.

This camp is sponsored by Women in Snowboarding and Under Armour so we have shirts and swag to give away!!

Ages: 14 and Up
When: Saturday, March 31 and Sunday April 1, 2012
Where: Mt. Sima

Level 1 Officials Course

Get trained in the different officials roles required to run all forms of snowboard competitions. Learn what needs to happen to present a fair and secure event. Plus you get to play with a really big drill!

The certification is valid across Canada and will be valuable for volunteers at the 2012 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse. The course will involve 3 hours of classroom followed by on-snow training at a later date.

When: Classrom: Friday, February 24, 6:00-9:00 PM

Here is the registration form for the Trials: 2012_AWG_Trial_Registration_Form.doc. Print out, fill in and bring the from with you on Saturday to the Sima Clubhouse. Registration is 9:00-10:00 AM. Late arrivals can not be guaranteed a spot in the competition.

If you’re going to compete in the events but don’t want to tryout for the AWG Team you can also register the morning of the event in the Clubhouse.

Helmets are mandatory.

Registration starts at 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Practice Runs start at 5pm
16 and under Rail Jam runs at 5:30pm (males and females)
OPEN CATEGORY begins at 6:00pm (male and female)-all those who want to compete for the cash prize must join this category
Open Finals 6:45-7:15pm
Awards 8pm

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the 16 and under category.
