Approved Selection Criteria following the cancellation of the AWG Trials:
*** AWG Trials Cancelled ***
We are working with the Sport and Recreation Branch (who oversee Team Yukon) to have them review and approve our revised approach to the team selection process, which will be shared with athletes and their families as soon as it is confirmed.
All athletes who registered for the Trials Event will receive a Team Yukon t-shirt, and we will send a notification to all athletes once the selection process is complete and confirmed.
We sincerely apologize to the athletes for this circumstance – it’s not the situation we’d all been hoping for. Parents, please tell riders how proud we are that they’ve all put their names forward for the AWG team and we’re really looking forward to seeing them on snow soon.

– Submission Deadline Jan. 19, 2026 –
This is your chance to enter your original art to be featured on the 2026 Yukon Champs poster (and related material) as well as on the 2026 Snowboard Yukon hoodies.
The selected artist will receive a $500 honorarium.
Submit your artwork:
Send us a sketch of your idea (a photo of your sketch/art is acceptable for the submission). You do not have to submit a finished work and you can work in the medium of your choice.
IMPORTANT – Your submission must include the words “Snowboard Yukon”, or include the Snowboard Yukon logo to be considered.
Please note that if you are selected, you will have to send us a high-quality image of your art (image file or PDF). We can help you with that if you have questions.
Some examples:
We are lucky to have so many talented artists in Snowboard Yukon’s circle! See below some recent examples:

Things the selection committee will be considering:
UNIQUE – Is it an original idea? Is it visually distinct from recent year’s artwork?
IMPACT – both visually and emotionally — and does the idea stick with you?
RELEVANCE – does the idea reflect SY in 2026? Is it a design people will want to wear on their chests?
For questions or to send your submission electronically please email Sophie (Snowboard Yukon coach and board member) by January 19, 2026.
